Mitch Stetter Makes MLB Debut
Left-handed pitcher Mitch Stetter, who played with the Springfield Rifles in 2000, made his Major League debut on September 1 for the Milwaukee Brewers at home against Pittsburgh. Stetter allowed a run and a hit in his debut.

On September 7 Stetter made his second appearance at Cincinnati pitching two hitless and scoreless innings.

In 2000, Mitch compiled a 3-4 W-L record with an ERA of 3.45 in 45.2 innings pitched, all as a starting pitcher. That 2000 season was the summer after his freshman year at Indiana State University. He was later drafted after his senior year in 2003 by the Brewers.

This brings the total of CICL alumni who later played Major League baseball to 169 in its 44 year history.
