09? Is the Time for Hannibal
Dublin, Ohio – The summer of 2009 will potentially bring a new additional team, in Hannibal, Missouri to the Central Illinois Collegiate League (CICL).

“…our goal of bringing baseball back to Hannibal will be a reality. And our vision of renovating Clemens Field with a partnership of the city of Hannibal will become a reality,” said Bob Hemond a partner of the Hannibal Baseball Investment Group.

Although the Hannibal group has not yet officially applied for membership to the CICL, it has, however, already reserved the territorial rights to the Hannibal market.

“The CICL is delighted about the possibility of having a team in Hannibal for the 2009 season. We wish Bob Hemond & his partners the very best and look forward to receiving their official application,” said Commissioner Frank Pergolizzi.

Teams currently participating in the CICL for the 2008 season are; the Danville Dans, Dubois Bombers, DuPage Dragons, Springfield Sliders and local neighboring team the Quincy Gems.
