2008 ALL STAR GAME
Home Run Derby, 6:00 PM The 2008 CICL All-Star game will pit the CICL All-Stars against the All-Stars of the KIT League. The KIT League is a collegiate summer wood bat baseball league featuring teams from Fulton, KY, Union City, TN, Marion, KY, Farmington, MO, Owensboro, KY and Dawson Springs, KY (Tradewater). The league was formed in the winter of 2004 with the first season of play being the summer of 2005. . This year's game will feature the annual Home Run Derby which will start at 6:00 PM and last 45 minutes. Official All-Star gametime will be 7:30 PM. Central Illinois Collegiate League Pitchers:

The CICL defeated the KIT League 7-6 in the second all-star game ever played between the leagues in Huntingburg, Indiana, this evening.
DuPage County's Phil Wunderlich led the way for the CICL getting 3 hits and 3 RBI including a double and a homer. Danville's Andrew Pollak had 2 hits and an RBI and Springfield's Chris Gacom had a double and 2 RBI.
Ten CICL pitchers made an appearance. Springfield's Bryce Butt was credited with the victory and Danville's Tyler Hess earned the save.
For the KIT League, Justin Miller had a homer and 2 RBI and Kevin O'Hair had 2 RBI on a hit. Louis Haseltine and Ace Williams each had 2 hits. The KIT outhit the CICL 13-8 but made 3 errors leading to 2 unearned runs.
The CICL took the lead 7-6 in the bottom of the 6th on an RBI sacrifice fly by Wunderlich, which closed out the scoring.
