The 2007 CICL All-Star game will pit the CICL All-Stars against the All-Stars of the KIT League. The KIT League is a collegiate summer wood bat baseball league featuring teams from Fulton, KY, Union City, TN, Sikeston, MO, Farmington, MO, Owensboro, KY and Dawson Springs, KY (Tradewater). The league was formed in the winter of 2004 with the first season of play being the summer of 2005. .

This year's game will feature the annual Home Run Derby which will start at 5:30 PM and last 45 minutes. Official All-Star gametime will be 7:00 PM.

GAME SUMMARY

The CICL Stars broke a 1-1 tie wide open with four runs in the bottom of the third inning.

The KIT League struck early with a run in the top of the first. Fulton’s Allen Bolden opened the game with a double. Bolden came around to score on Derrick Washington’s (Sikeston) RBI single.

With two outs in the third, Danville’s Ben Wolgamot doubled. DuPage County’s Ryan Duffy followed with a walk. Quincy Gem Tyson Blaser’s RBI single scored Wolgamot and Duffy came around on an error by the pitcher. A Connor Powers (DuPage) RBI single and a Thomas McCormick (Quincy) RBI double wrapped up the four-run inning.

Bradley Goldsmith (Dubois County), Wolgamot, Blaser, and Powers each finished with two hits for the CICL which finished with seven runs on twelve hits. Powers was named the game’s MVP after finishing 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Washington and Hunter Nolen (Tradewater) finished with two hits apiece for the KIT League. Tyler Owen (Fulton) added a hit and an RBI.

Greg Hellake took the win for the CICL Stars after firing a perfect third inning.
